Health & Bio-Security Standards

At Ozark Fisheries, the health of our koi and goldfish is of paramount importance. We conduct rigorous testing protocols, ensuring that our fish are examined twice annually for all major diseases. This commitment to health has resulted in a clean bill of health for both of our facilities for over 20 years, demonstrating our dedication to maintaining the highest standards in aquaculture.

Bio-security is a critical aspect of our operations. We take extensive measures to prevent any potential introduction of diseases into our ponds. Notably, no fish from outside sources are ever introduced to our facilities. Instead, we rely on our own broodstock, which is replaced as needed to ensure the continued health and vitality of our fish populations.

Ozark Fisheries is recognized as an APHIS (Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service) approved aquaculture export facility. This designation requires us to adhere to stringent health and bio-security standards. We undergo a thorough evaluation process to ensure compliance with all regulations, which is essential for maintaining our export status. This commitment not only protects our fish but also assures our customers of the quality and health of the products they receive.

The health and bio-security of our koi and goldfish are integral to our operations at Ozark Fisheries. Through regular testing, strict bio-security measures, and adherence to APHIS standards, we ensure that our fish remain healthy and disease-free, providing our customers with the highest quality aquatic life.
